十基 十姿 - Jukki Jussi
Sapporo Kuro Label Original Draft Tower
1 / 9
Just as every adult has their own way of being, it is our differences that make the world fascinating. These draft towers, crafted from natural stones that have gained their unique characters over eons, stand as a symbol of the authentic charm found in maturity.
The concept is "Ten Towers, Ten Forms" (十基 十姿 - Jukki Jussi). At a glance, the row of draft towers appears as a unified collection of stone, yet each reveals a different story through the degree of polishing, subtle variations in composition, and the graceful marks of time. They evoke the diverse journeys of human life—where "ten people mean ten different colors." This rich interplay of light and texture finds its perfect home in a bar where adults gather to unwind.
The material chosen is Date Kanmuri-ishi, a rare pyroxene basaltic andesite formed 20,000,000 years ago, found only at Mount Okura in Miyagi Prefecture. High in iron content and density, its fine-grained structure makes it exceptionally resistant to water. The exterior is clad in an ochre-colored "skin" weathered by time, but once polished, it reveals a deep, ebony luster. By intentionally leaving portions of the raw texture, cracks, and natural skin rather than polishing it to a uniform finish, the inherent "individuality" of the material stands out, making the "narrative" of the stone itself vividly apparent.
Both the raw ruggedness and the meticulously polished smoothness are equally beautiful. At "THE BAR," located at the heart of the Ginza intersection, we invite you to face your true self and enjoy your own unique brilliance through a glass of beer poured from these towers.
